Cousins
Boys, boys everywhere!!! We were lucky enough to get to spend several days with my brother's family; Aunt Jenny and cousins Pete and Charlie. We spent an evening with them before we went to Park City, Mark and the boys saw them a couple of times while I was at work and then we spent a day with them after the festival before driving back to St. George. Best of all, Jenny and the boys caravaned with us back to St. George and spent 4 days with us in Sounthern Utah. It was so much fun to spend time with with them and play with Grandma and Grandpa and all their grandsons. Peter and Cooper are 2 months apart and Cruz and Charlie are only 2 weeks apart so there was some serious bonding going on.

Park City
It's February already! Where did January go? It got sucked up by Sundance that's where. The family survived another successful festival. It was a crazy couple of weeks and I truly appreciate all that my family did to make it happen. My Mom and Dad took care of the canine kiddos for us, Mark and the boys weathered the cold and hours in the condo for me and my fabulous friends and coworkers braved living with 2 crazy boys for almost 2 weeks. As tiring as it was, it was a great change of pace and insight into what Mark does on a a daily basis (works all day and then clicks into parenting mode the minute he walks in the door). There's nothing better than being greeted at the door by your kiddos after a long day at work. As fun as it was to mix things up, I still wouldn't want to trade places with Mark. I think I'll keep my "real" job.
Mark was amazing. He had one rough day out of 11 but what stay at home parent doesn't? After sending me a picture text of Cruz that read "it's a good thing this kid is so cute because I'm about ready to sell him on craigslist", Mark decided they needed to find things to do. And boy did he take that to the extreme. All kidding aside, Mark took on waaaaay more than I would have tackled. They went to a fabulous indoor play place called Monkey Mountain several times, visited my Sister in Law and her kiddos at a Dinosaur museum and ANOTHER play place called Monkey Island, went out to lunch, grocery shopped, visited our old house in SLC, showed the boys our old sail boat on the Great Salt Lake and played in the snow. More proof of what an amazing Dad Mark is. Cooper and Cruz had a great time with their Daddy and Mom had a great time with some dear friends. Thank-you, to my family for allowing me to switch things up a bit. Now I'm ready to flip back into Mommy Mode.

Festival Goers
Mark is back in UT and we're off to do a little hob nobbin' with the stars. It's time for the Sundance Film Festival and for Momma to bring home the bacon for a change. Mark and the boys will be hanging out in a condo in Deer Valley and I'll be working long hours at a hospitality desk nearby. This means I had to do a lot of pumping and prepping for Cruz to have enough milk to survive while I'm gone all day. We also practiced feeding Cruz a bottle since he hasn't had many in his short little life. Cooper decided it would be fun to feed him today. He's going to be a great little helper for Dad while I'm at work.
I hope Mark and the boys will have some fun and enjoy the Winter Wonderland. Maybe the boys will be discovered by a hot Hollywood agent and Mark and I can quit our day jobs. I think Cooper just hopes to meet Lightning McQueen. He's the only star he really cares about.
Toodles for now!

Month #5 Continued....Don't forget the Chair
This one's for you Daddy. Mark reminded me that I forgot a very important prop in my 5 Month post for Cruz: the beloved chair. Mark flew back home last week so he missed our 5 Month Glamour Shot. He checked out the ole blog and immediately called to ask what was up with the chair. He was quick to remind me that he lugged that thing nearly 2,000 miles across country in an overly packed car because I HAD to make sure that we continue Cruz's monthly chair shots. And what do I do but forget to use the darn thing. Ooooops. Sorry Mark. And thanks very much for noticing. Cruz and I thought we'd make these shots extra special for you because that's how we roll. Thanks for humoring me and bringing all of our "essentials" for the trip.

Month #5
It's time for Cruz's monthly update! Another month has flown by. Cruz is a happy baby. He loves to laugh and giggle and is pretty laid back (most of the time). He also LOVES his brother. When Coop walks into the room or is suddenly in Cruz's sight, Cruz beams. It's so much fun to watch. I do have to mention that Cruz has become far less cooperative when it comes to sitting still for photo ops. Oh well, what's a Mom to do? He's definitely becoming a mover and a shaker and we sure do love this wiggly guy.

Off to a good start.
