Let it be known that today marks the day that I FINALLY went to the grocery store with the boys ALL BY MYSELF. We've been to the little market by our house but so far, I've been able to do my major grocery shopping by myself when Mark has been home. Since Mark will be gone for 2 weeks this trip, we finally needed to get some groceries and dog food. I forgot to stock up for my canine kiddos before Mark left. Once again proof that the poor doggies are definitely a little neglected.
How did it go? Well, Cooper was a super helper and Cruz was quiet and just checked things out the entire time. He kept giving me looks like 'what took you soooooo long Mom? This isn't so bad. Aren't I just the sweetest little angel?' Hmmmmmmm, it makes me a little suspicious about what's to come. Are the boys secretly conspiring already somehow? Make Mom think she can handle things first and THEN give her a reason to snap after a couple of successful trips.
I'm sure I'll have posts later on about devil children in the grocery store. Especially when Cruz is a little older and not a little chunky-monkey-baby-lump. For now, I'll remember this as yet another Mommy Milestone that I was terrified to scratch off the list.
In other great news: only 82hrs and 47 minutes until Mark get home!!!!!!

ohhhh. The Daddy traveling while Mommy is home with TWO kids is really hard. One kid is do-able. But TWO. . . .*sigh*. . . much harder.
It will get a lot easier with time. Wine helps. Calling your friends on the phone at odd hours to scream and cry helps too. And soon you will be a bit miffed when Dad comes home because you are thrown off the daily schedule and chaos ensues. But not so miffed that you don't want him to stay home.
I hope you purchases some febreeze for the upcoming dog-cleanse. Keep us posted.
