Story Time

We try to make it to story time every week if we can. The Estes Valley Library Children's Program is truly ahhhhmazing. I can't say enough about how much we enjoy it. I have no doubt that it will always have a soft spot in my heart as I think back to our toddler/preschool years.

As part of their summer reading program, this week's program was outside at Lily Lake. They had their regular story time, puppet show and included a scavenger hunt and make your own trail mix station (Cruz's favorite).

Coop is still talking about it three days later. Not because of the beautiful scenery, the fun activities, or stories (although he thoroughly enjoyed it all). But because of a slip up that one of the librarians made during their puppet show. I don't even know if he understood the slip up but he laughed and laughed and giggled and laughed.

It went a little something like this; One of the bears in the puppet show intended to introduce the audience to their amazing campsite but she accidentally said "we have an amazing website". The adults laughed and so did Coop over and over. He brought it up with one of the Mom's sitting next to him....'those bears have a website, bahahahahaha'....

I doubt he even knows what a website is. Oh, that kid. He cracks me up. Apparently, bears with websites is a very funny concept to him. He reminds me of the hilarity of it all several times a day now.

Story time has influenced Coop quite a bit. More than I can even comprehend.

And look at our big boy Cruz sitting nice a quietly with all the big kids!

By the way, Coop wants to know if you heard the one about the bear and a website. Bahahahaha.

Kids think some of the strangest things are funny. I get a kick out of them laughing at stuff.

Look at Cruz! He is such a big boy sitting there!
