Our littlest C is another month older! So much has happened in the past month. He's been to 7 states (8 if you count our layover in Atlanta). He has slept in 2 different houses, 3 hotels and 1 condo. Quite the little nomad. He's becoming a nomad in the body movement department as well. He loves to rock and is getting oh so close to skooching (it's a word when describing baby movements as far as I'm concerned). No crawling yet but he loves to move from sitting to lying position and is rolling all over the place. We are loving the fact that we can FINALLY set him down on the floor and he can sit up without toppling over. The barricade of pillows or any surrounding soft stuff is no longer necessary. Now if we could only keep Cooper from tackling him. He has discovered that he prefers to sleep on his belly and we have stopped trying to enforce the "back is best" philosophy. Whatever keeps the kid sleeping. Speaking of sleeping: Little C doesn't feel it necessary to sleep through the night any longer. He's regressed to the must-eat-every-two-hours-like-clockwork club. I just keep telling myself that one day he/I/we will all sleep through the night again. Until then, I am cherishing every little bit of his babyness. There's ohhhhhhhh so much to cherish even if we're a little bit (okay, A LOT) T.I.R.E.D in the process. Current mantra as of late: sleep is overrated, sleep is overrated, sleep is overrated. I can not lie. The mantra is crap! Sleep is wonderful. Sleep is grand.
My parting words for Month #8: I MISS SLEEP and can't wait for a solid 8hr night. I'd even take 4 at this point. What do you think, Mr. Cruz? Are you up for the challenge? I double dog dare you.

He's adorable, and all that good milk is chubbing him up beautifully. Hope the sleep fairy gets your change of address form soon!
